While it’s still a week shy of the official first day of fall, I’m already on my pumpkin kick!

Lately I’ve been making a lot of smoothies. Smoothies are a great way to sneak some extra fruit and veggies into the diet, curb sugar cravings, and are perfect for those busy mornings when you’re on the run.

It’s officially mid September, so I figure it’s time to switch up my smoothie game and make the transition from fruity summer smoothies to fall pumpkin smoothies!

Here’s my favorite Fall Pumpkin Smoothie recipe:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup – unsweetened soy milk
  • 1/2 cup – ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup – pumpkin puree
  • 1 – banana
  • 2 Tbsp – whole ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 tsp – cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp – pumpkin pie spice

Directions

Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.

If you like sweeter smoothies, go ahead and add 1 Tbsp of honey.

Now, pour into a glass and enjoy!

Blender

I just made the switch to the following Ninja blender, and love it!

I don’t think I’ve ever had to stop this blender to push ingredients down toward the blade since this blender is equipped with a total of six blades located at three separate levels. So, if you are looking for a new blender at a reasonable cost, I recommend this one!
