It’s October in Minnesota, so it’s time to break out the winter gear!

We’ve surprisingly already had an 8″ snowfall, and the snow doesn’t appear to be melting anytime soon. Between boots, hats, snow-pants, jackets, and mittens, I’ve found that finding the best winter mittens for toddlers is not an easy task.

What makes the best pair of winter mittens for toddlers? The list seems pretty simple:

  • They don’t fall off
  • They don’t fill with snow
  • Waterproof
  • Warm
  • Multiple available color options

Playing outside should be fun, but any toddler mom knows how fast things can take a turn for the worse when a mitten gets soggy, falls off, or a chunk of snow finds its way between a jacket sleeve and mitten.

After trialing several pairs of mittens that ended in crabby toddlers and a frustrated mom, I finally stumbled upon these mittens last year on Amazon, and absolutely LOVE them.

The long cuff seems to set them apart from any other mitten we’ve tried. I also love all the different color options. We spend a lot of time outside in the winter, and these mittens keep all the little fingers dry and warm.
