It’s now summer, so it’s time for s’mores and summer camp fires!

There has always been something special about sitting around a fire on a warm summer night that is relaxing and creates both a fun and social atmosphere. We’ve been looking for a fire pit, and found one we love!

It was important for us to have a portable fire pit, so I started doing some research and stumbled upon this fire pit.

Other than the fact that this fire pit is portable, the main selling point is the claim that there is minimal smoke. I love fires, but dodging smoke, holding my breath, and having my hair and clothes smell like smoke hours after is not my favorite. This fire pit claims to be “smokeless”, and the lack of smoke produced is due to what they call a “secondary burn” created by holes on the bottom and top of the fire pit and the double walled configuration. We were excited to try out the fire pit to see if it really was “smokeless”, and were very pleased to find that the smoke was indeed very minimal!

Additional perks to the Solo Stove include:

  • Durability – made of 304 stainless steel
  • Lifetime guarantee – Solo Stove provides a warranty that each and every Solo Stove product is free of manufacturing defects
  • Three different available sizesRanger, Bonfire, Yukon

We decided that the Bonfire Solo Stove was the perfect size for us, and that’s what we ended up purchasing. We also decided to purchase a stand since we wanted the option to put the stove on our deck. If you decide to purchase a stand, make sure you select the correct size that will work with the fire pit.

Overall we are very pleased with our Solo Stove, and are looking forward to all the future memories we plan to create sitting around the fire with friends and family!
